2010 Entries

2010 Art Show Results

The Wilber Czech Festival Art Show completes another successful year. There were 27 artists who submitted over 95 pieces of art.

Stacy Lutjemeyer, the art teacher for Dorchester Public School served as our judge. She had a tough job choosing from all of the great pieces we had on display.

The People's Choice Award is in it's second year and a huge success. With such great art, people had a hard time choosing which was their favorite. Our people's choice winner this year was Deb Monfelt of Beatrice, with her painting titled "Tornado Watch".

Are you ready for the 2010 Art Show?

The Wilber Czech Festival Art Show will soon be here.
Now is the time to finish those half-done pieces of art or start a new one.

The Art Show committee is calling on all artists to enter their pieces of work in this year’s Czech Festival art show. There is no entry fee; however, a 10% commission will be required for each piece sold.

The Czech Festival theme for 2010 is: Czech Tales of the Past Years. We will again have an award just for art work that represents the theme.

Entries will be accepted on Friday, August 6, 5-7 pm, and released on Sunday, August 8, 5-6 pm. The location is the downtown Wilber American Legion Building, 415 S Main Street.
The art show is open to the public for two full days of viewing. This is a great way to show off your talent.

There will be categories for students K-6 and 7-12,
as well as an adult category.

We will accept artwork that is of your own original design, (no crafts or kits), has not won an award at previous Wilber Czech Festival Art Shows, and is acceptable for viewing by the general public. There is a limit of five pieces per artist.

Art show visitors will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite entry until 4 pm on Sunday. The winner will be determined by 5 pm.

Only artwork that is of the artists own original design NO crafts or kits, and has never won an award at a previous Wilber Czech Festival Art Show, and is acceptable for viewing by the general public will be accepted.

Please pre-register, this benefits all in preparing for the best possible display of your works of art. We are looking forward to an excellent show.
